Villamartin Plaza is a couple of minutes walk from the villa. There is a supermarket, shops, bank, cafes , 40 bars and restaurants.
Restaurants include English, Italian, Indian, Chinese, French and German. There are 2 Irish bars, 2 karaoke bars, a sports bar, a pool bar and bowling alley.

Close to Villamartin are numerous uncrowded beaches with magnificent views over the sparkling blue Mediterranean and the 'white sand' that are typical of the Costa Blanca. The beaches along the coastline close to Villamartin are Playa Flamenca, La Zenia, Cabo Roig, and Campoamor.

All of these beaches and all the other major beaches along this part of the Mediterranean coastline are regularly awarded the European Blue Flag which is your guarantee of high standards and facilities for the whole family.

Horse Riding

Club Hipico Horseriding Stables are located to the rear of the development. Continue along road in front of PanoramaGolf proceeding away from Villamartin Plaza in direction of San Miguel. Turn right at end of road and then immediate right is the road leading to the stables.

The resort town of Torrevieja has a large marina You can take a boat ride to the island of Tabarca where scuba diving is popular , or sail along the coast. Fishing trips and boat rides are available from the port of Torrevieja. There arenumerousshops,Bars,
Restaurants,Clubs and discothèques.
During the day you can enjoy the sea and sun along the magnificent beaches, while at night time you can enjoy a meal in one of the many excellent restaurants along the seafront

Go-Carting

There is a great go-carting track just south of Torrevieja, where even 5-10 year olds are catered for, with normal rental carts (very fast) and even competition carts for the advanced. It has a Cafeteria so you can enjoy a drink and steady your nerves, if you are just watching your little angels drive like maniacs! They even have quad bikes and mini motor bikes

Friday Market Market

The Friday street market is the largest outdoor market in Southern Spain.

Further inland, past the orange and lemon groves is the city of Elche, the largest producer of Palm trees in Europe. Why not also visit the Mar Manor mud baths, Fortuna roman site & hot springs, and the mountain villa of Guadalest with its castle courtyard. Guadalest has been described as one of the most attractive hill towns in the whole of Spain and it also offers stunning views over the lake that shimmers below.
Not far from Guadalest are the Fonts D'Algar Waterfalls (pictured right) with crystal clear water and plunging waterfalls. It's about a one hour and a half hours drive from the villa but it's well worth it.
Beaches
Within a short drive of the villa, the beaches are plentiful and vary from vast expanses of sand to small pebble coves. Many of the safe white sandy beaches are proud to display the prestigious Blue Flag which is awarded by the EU for cleanliness and safety.The beaches along the coastline close to Villamartin are Playa Flamenca, La Zenia, Cabo Roig,Calla Captaen and Campoamor.
Playa la Zenia - Nearest beach to the villa, about 2Km. Beach bar and large restaurant overlooking beach and sea. The Beach bars at La Zenia are open during the evening and have themed nights. There is a Flamenca Dancing show on Sundays between 9 - 11pm. A nice place to relax at night watching the waves on the beach.
Calla Captaen is next to La Zenia and is a very safe beach to swim or snorkel.
